Susan is a 45 year old married woman. Her adult children have grown up and moved away. She worked for many years as a housekeeper in a hotel but is now on disability due to a back injury. Her husband is unemployed. Susan has always been close to her family and considers herself a kind and compassionate person. Lately she’s been having problems dealing with her older sister. Susan fears she may say something hurtful to her in a weak moment.

Online therapy allows for conversations with a licensed psychologist from the comfort and privacy of your own home. In email based therapy, the therapeutic conversation occurs over time, giving you the time to consider your thoughts and feelings about the issue and decide what you want to say. You then have the freedom to read, review, and think about your psychologist’s reply at your own pace. The conversation occurs when it is convenient for you.

Online therapy is not appropriate for individuals who are experiencing an acute crisis and want or need immediate intervention. If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or of harming others, or are experiencing symptoms of a mental illness or emotional turmoil that is causing significant difficulties functioning in your day-to-day life, please contact your local mental health centre, crisis line, or go to the nearest hospital’s emergency department.

Who we are?

Campanula Psychological Services is owned and operated by a Registered Psychologist. At the present time, we are offering email based therapy, and plan to expand our services in the future. Our services are available only to residents of Canada 18 years of age or older.
